Francesco Simeoni, Director of Content from Arrow, to Head Up Radiance Films for MVD

New distribution company Radiance Films was formed by industry veteran Francesco Simeoni and this month inked distribution deals with MVD Entertainment Group for North America and with Elevation Sales for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The label will focus on prestige library titles for collector's edition releases on Blu-ray and digital. The label will aim to release 30 titles per year including new restorations and theatrical reissues for select titles.

Radiance is in discussion with multiple licensors about launch titles.

Simeoni, who left Arrow Films recently after twelve years, will be acting as Managing Director.

Simeoni was Director of Content at Arrow and oversaw the company's large slate of releases in multiple territories, including beloved classics like Robocop and Bicycle Thieves.

Simeoni commented, "I am thrilled to be undertaking this new venture and believe there is a large opportunity for a nimble and innovative distributor in the library space. I look forward to working with trusted colleagues and creating new unions with Radiance Films."

"Working with Mr. Simeoni over the course of the last seven years during his time at Arrow was nothing short of a pleasure. It will be an honor to continue this relationship through his Radiance Films company and we look forward to the exciting slate of films on their schedule," said Eric D. Wilkinson, Director of Home Video Sales and Acquisitions for MVD Entertainment Group.

This is exciting news!!! Can't wait to see what the first slate of Radiance Films will be.

MULHOLLAND DRIVE Ending Explained

MULHOLLAND DRIVE is a complex and surreal film directed by David Lynch, known for its non-linear narrative and dreamlike sequences. The ending is open to interpretation and has been the subject of much debate among viewers. Here's a breakdown of the ending: Diane's Dream vs. Reality: Throughout the film, there are two main narrative threads: one follows Betty/Diane's dreamlike experiences in Hollywood, and the other delves into Diane's harsh reality. The ending reveals that the majority of the film has been a dream constructed by Diane Selwyn, a failed actress, as a means to escape the guilt and pain of her actions. Betty/Diane's Descent into Madness: Betty, played by Naomi Watts, represents Diane's idealized self—a hopeful and innocent aspiring actress. However, as the film progresses, it becomes clear that Betty's story is unraveling, and her identity begins to merge with Diane's. This culminates in the revelation that Betty is merely a construct of Di...
