The film uses Indian (South Asian) folklore to examine marital social stigmas used against women that are still in practice in modern India and America.

After the break we’re joined by Angelita Mendoza to discuss her film THE BLUE DRUM

The film focuses on the day of Leticia’s father’s funeral. Secrets long buried begin to surface and Leticia’s world is turned upside down. Nothing is as she believes.
