The prestigious 14th Austrian Film Awards took place this year at Vienna City Hall on June 5, 2024. Hosted by actress Emily Cox and comedian Dirk Stermann, this year’s trophies were handed out to recent festival circuit favorites. Celebrating the magic and the narrative diversity of cinema, the awards show theme this year was “more than film.” THE DEVIL’S BATH from Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala stood out among the award winners this year garnering eight awards. IFC Midnight and Shudder released SKINAMARINK to audiences with an overwhelming response, bringing theater-goers the promise of a completely new experience.
