Episode 69 of the True Bromance Film Podcast - Fantastic Four / Super Powers

Episode 69 This week we are jumping on the highly anticipated and well reviewed film, Fantastic Four, and sharing the best and worst super powers in film. Additionally, we are continuing our charity work by introducing our friend, Joey Azzarello, to the wonders of the Empire Strikes Back.

Ep. 163 of War Machine vs. War Horse: Fantastic Four (Batman Begins vs. The Amazing Spider-Man)

On this episode we talk superhero reboots on film with superhero film expert Matt Brown from the Super Zero podcast and the long running MAMO. We look at the best example of this tall but financially mandated task with Christopher Nolan's BATMAN BEGINS going up against the much loathed Marc Webb's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. But speaking of being loathed, my co-host Emily Mackay and I recorded our day one responses to the long hated (even before its release) Josh Trank's FANTASTIC FOUR.

Episode 114 of War Machine vs. War Horse: Kingsman The Secret Service (Wanted vs. Kick-Ass)

On this episode we look at a comic book writer's universe of creator-owned material making its way to the silver screen with varying degrees of success. We are not talking about Alan Moore (of course), because we said SUCCESSFUL film adaptation, so instead let's move down a few tiers to Mark Millar with the adaptations of WANTED and KICK-ASS battling it out like a good comic book crossover. This is inspired by the new to video KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, and Bubbawheat from the sites Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights & Channel: Superhero will team up with us to choose a winner.

Episode 57 of Pop Culture Case Study - A History of Violence and Identity

In this episode, Dave and Britt disagree strongly on the qualities (or lack thereof in her opinion) of A History of Violence.  During Fangirl Fixation, Britt gets distracted and talks about everything from Viggo Mortensen's various endowments to her terrifying crush on Rutger Hauer.  Join us as we talk about the movie and Identity!
